Exceptional Getaway is a monthly respite event created for families of individuals with special needs—both children and adults. We understand that caregiving can be both rewarding and exhausting, and that every caregiver deserves a break. Exceptional Getaway gives parents and guardians the opportunity to rest, recharge, or simply take some personal time, while knowing their loved ones are in trusted, professional hands.

During each event, participants are cared for by qualified Hands On Therapy staff, including experienced occupational therapists and support personnel who are passionate about working with individuals with diverse needs. We create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where participants can enjoy sensory-friendly activities, games, and social interaction tailored to their abilities and interests.

This is our way of giving back to the community that supports us. Exceptional Getaway is offered free of charge, once a month—but availability is limited due to space and staffing.
